My story begins amid COVID-19.  Like many others, I saw the pandemic as an opportunity to reinvent myself.  I was stuck at home, watching YouTube videos, and feeling motivated to change my life.  I felt like a Formula One driver, waiting for the right moment to release the clutch and speed ahead. 

One of the YouTube channels that inspired me was Curiosity Inc.  One day on the street, I was drawn to their Ghost Buster Vehicle and became curious to know what Curiosity Inc. was about.  Then, I learned about Madame Rac from their YouTube videos.  She used to be my neighbour, and she had passed away.  I remember seeing her walk by my house often, and I always waved at her.  She was a piano teacher, and I had always wanted to learn piano, but I never knew she offered lessons.

I decided to honour her memory by buying some of her jewelry from Curiosity Inc.'s auctions and opening a website.  I enjoyed learning about vintage jewelry and setting up a website as a reseller of vintage goods. 

This led me to my next adventure: studying Gemology because of Madame Rac.  I will study Gemology at the Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A.) for the next two years.  https://www.gia.edu/gem-education/online-division
